Colorful (and Curious) Western Tanagers

Tanagers are little flying jewels and they have returned to Jackson Hole in great numbers this Spring.

This brilliantly colored male seemed fascinated by my camera lens and stared so intently at it, I wondered if he was seeing his own reflection in the glass.
