This extraordinary trip will focus on the dramatic qualities that influenced the decision to make Yellowstone the world's first national park. These qualities include the park's spectacular wildlife, the most famous geysers in the world and never-ending scenery. A Yellowstone trip will always vary to account for wildlife sightings and group interests, but stops typically include Old Faithful, the colorful waterfalls of Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and the wildlife of Hayden Valley. Lunch is included and is often taken near Old Faithful. Trips to Yellowstone depart twice a week at 7:00 am and generally return between 5:00 and 7:00 pm. Private Yellowstone trips available. Yellowstone remains open through the first week of November.

October 16-19, 2008 - FULL
October 23-26, 2008 - FULL
$1,350 per person / double occupancy

Join an experienced guide in learning about and searching for the most famous predators in North America. The wolves of Yellowstone are notoriously visible if you know where to look and have been seen every day by visitors somewhere in the park since 2001. Fall is an ideal time to see wolves and bears since the park receives few visitors and the predators are actively hunting for elk, moose and bison.
Day 1: Arrive in Jackson. Reception, slideshow and dinner at Spring Creek Ranch.
Day 2: After an early breakfast at the Granary we will head directly to the northern part of Yellowstone National Park. This five-hour drive will be broken up with stops at Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs for lunch. Dusk will be spent searching for bears and gray wolves in a region of the park that is often referred to as "The Serengeti of North America" due to the abundance of wildlife. After dark we will drive to Cooke City, just outside the park border, to spend the night.
Day 3: Following an early field continental breakfast we will return to prime bear and wolf territories to witness early-morning activity. Along the drive back to Jackson we'll stop for a brunch and to admire the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. After a dinner at the Granary restaurant we will get together for a special ceremony including reliving the trip's best moments on a DVD that is yours to keep.
Day 4: Depart Jackson or remaining time on own.
