Boreal Toad in Jackson Hole
In all of our naturalist programs, we try and emphasize the smaller creatures in addition to all of our charasmatic birds and mammals. This image shows a recent sighting of fairly rare amphibian known as a Boreal Toad.
It is our only toad species in the region and one of just a handful of amphibians found here. On this morning’s safari, we were also able to find a coyote hunting, a large bull moose browsing on willows and many other species of feathered and furred animals.
