Kick Up Your Ski Boots and Enjoy a Liabation at These Apres Hot Spots in Jackson, Wyoming

After a long day of burning quads through thigh-deep powder, it’s nice to kick back and sip on something special. We’ve assembled a list of some of our favorite places to indulge in a little Apres Ski in the Jackson area.

Time Honored Traditions at the Mangy Moose

Past the tram and Teton Village Sports lies one of Jackson’s favorite bars, the Mangy Moose. This apres hotspot has been around for over 50 years and skiers from all over the world venture into this world-famous hangout. The eclectic decor our ski-gear clad crowd make this post-ski spot a must for both locals and visitors and entertainment is a-plenty with live bands. Stop into the Mangy Moose after, snag a snack and a drink (we strongly recommend the spicy margarita) to discover what post-ski sesh Jackson is all about.

Saddle up at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

If you’ve got a hankering for some good ‘ole country vibes come on down to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. This thirst-quenching watering hole is decked out with western memorabilia and and a dance floor often filled with authentic two-steppers. Take it all in atop a saddle for a seat at the main bar area and get in touch with your inner cowboy or cowgirl.

Sip on a Cold One at the Snake River Brewing Company

Wyoming’s oldest brewery also happens to be an apres ski hot spot. If you love the suds, then you’ve got to visit Snake River Brewing for some top-of-the-line brews. We love the Jenny Lake Lager. Soak up the beer with a variety of tasty menu items, including wild game chili (locally sourced). Happy hour runs from 4 pm until 6 pm!

See the Bling at the Silver Dollar Bar

While the town square boasts many bars and restaurants, one of the must-sees is the Silver Dollar Bar (named for, you guessed it – their bar top made of silver dollars). Talk about bling! Located inside the historic Wort Hotel, this place really gives you a feel for Jackson in the older days. Sip on your favorite beverage and warm up with a bowl of corn chowder to satisfy that post-pow hunger.

Nacho Up at Trap Bar

After spending the day riding the powder at Grand Targhee, stop by the Trap Bar for your post-ski fix. Now that you’ve got an apres appetite, order up a plate of Wydaho nachos. This dish features waffle-cut fries instead of tortilla chips, giving this dish the spud-inspired, Idaho flavor perfect after a long day on the slopes.

Jackson lives for apres skiing just as much as we love the slopes. You can’t go wrong with any of these apres ski options. So come on down and relax in Jackson, Wyoming this ski season.
