Rise and Shine in the Air

Watch the sun rise dramatically in the Teton Valley with an exhilarating hot air balloon ride. There is nothing more magical than experiencing the alpenglow by air. Watch as the mighty Teton Range sparkles in the morning light, then enjoy a picnic breakfast with a scenic mountain backdrop.


Bike the Scenic Route

Next, it’s time to pick up bikes at Wheel Wranglers and head into the park. The paved trail follows Teton Park Road. You can bike the entire road while taking in sweeping views of the Teton Range. Stop at the Jenny Lake Visitor Center for a short hike around the lake or simply marvel at the sparkling alpine waters.

Break for Lunch

After working up an appetite head to Dornan’s Pizza and Pasta Company to refuel. Located just outside of the park, you’ll have quick access to delicious food with a stunning view of the mountains. If you don’t want to take a formal lunch break, let the Spring Creek Ranch chefs prepare a packed lunch for you.


Head Out on a Hike

After you’ve noshed and relaxed a little, go for an afternoon hike. There are countless hiking trails in Teton National Park catering to all abilities. Choose a hike that suits your mood and abilities. Just be sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, a rain jacket, sun protection, and sturdy walking shoes.

  • Taggart Lake: 3.8 miles, easy
  • Schwabacher’s Landing: 1.8 miles, easy
  • Jenny Lake Loop to Inspiration Point: 7.9 miles, moderate

Soak Up the Sunset

End your day with a gorgeous sunset with the Tetons as your backdrop. By this point, your legs are tuckered, so why not enjoy a beautiful golden hour right from your vehicle? There are a few easily accessible sunset spots in Grand Teton National Park that you’ll want to check out. Just don’t forget your tripod!

  • Mormon Row: Minimal walking to a historic homestead. Turn onto Alpine Flats Road from Highway 89 and follow signs to Mormon Row
  • Teton Point Turnout: A popular pull out that provides spanning vistas of the Snake River Valley and the Teton Range. 6 miles north of Moose Junction
  • Signal Mountain: Known for its stunning wildflower displays and panorama of Jackson Lake. 16 miles north of the Moose Junction park entrance. Go right on Signal Mountain Road and drive 5 miles to the observation area on the summit.
