Our Favorite Jackson Town Square Hot Spots
You can’t come to Jackson, Wyoming, without taking some time to explore the fantastic streets of downtown. Packed to the brim with old western charm, and an exciting diversity of shops, restaurants and galleries, this bustling town center offers fun for everyone. Here are a few of the best places to visit on the Town Square.
Take a Selfie at the Antler Arches
In the heart of Jackson, is the historic town center — a quiet park lined with the iconic archways made of elk antlers. Every spring the local Boy Scouts collect all the fallen antlers from the nearby National Elk Refuge and each year one of the four Antler Arches is fully replaced with new antlers. It’s easy to spot the most recently replaced Antler Arch by the dark brown antlers (their natural color). The sun, snow and elements take a quick toll on the exposed antlers, turning them white. Around Christmas or at night, you’ll find the Arches covered in white lights, adding an extra something to the feel of being in downtown Jackson. The town center, marked by the four antler arches at each corner, is a great place to relax, people watch and snap an iconic photo. Plus, it’s the center of everything else there is to do in downtown Jackson.
