A Warm Welcome to Wintertime, Fresh Powder and Holiday Specials
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the off season is winding down in Jackson Hole as the town bustles with anticipation of the first powder turns and holiday cheer. Whether you like to spend your downtime enjoying some fresh corduroy or sipping the perfect cup of hot chocolate cozied up against the fireplace, there’s something for everyone here.
First things first: let’s talk turkey. Our own Spring Creek Ranch is offering a traditional Thanksgiving menu buffet style from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. for our guests so you can feast whenever is most convenient for you. And of course, with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Targhee opening any day now, there’s plenty of skiing to be had to work off that extra slice of pumpkin pie. After a good night’s sleep, enjoy the annual Town Square Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 25 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Jackson’s Town Square with cookies, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa. After that, you can head over to the Center for the Arts for free public stargazing using a gigantic Dobsonian telescopes to explore planets, galaxies and stars.
Planning to come in early December? We’ve still got plenty of activities to take in besides skiing. Choose from our many wildlife safari tours specially tailored to your own personal tastes. Explore Grand Teton National Park, the Elk Refuge or even Yellowstone National Park — and discover why winter is the best season to view our wildlife! Looking for the perfect family friendly activity? We offer snowshoe packages for the whole family to explore wildlife tracks and take in the pristine winter views Jackson has to offer. If you need a break from the outdoors, spend a day taking in collections of Western art the town’s many galleries have on display.
And just to whet your appetite a little further, there are more nonstop flights than ever to Jackson from United, Delta and American Airlines, including:
