Celebrate Summer in Jackson Hole this Season

By on June 14, 2019 Categories: Jackson Hole Entertainment, Jackson Hole Summer

Even though Jackson did get snow this week (yes, in June!), it’s pretty much time to put away the down puffy coat, store the snow boots, and enjoy the sweet season of summer. We all know Jackson offers endless backcountry and adventure activities, but summer is one of the most fun times of year in town, too. Here’s a look at some of our favorite summer-only events in Jackson Hole.

Saturday Local Farmers Market

Head on down to the Town Square every Saturday this summer for a delectable selection of local and regionally grown fruits, veggies, and homemade baked goods. Enjoy free live music and tasty treats for the whole family. The best part? 10% of the market’s gross proceeds are donated to local charities. This is a local market you can truly feel good about! Farmers Market on the Square starts the first Saturday after the 4th of July and goes until the 3rd of September from 8 am to noon.

Stunning Vistas and a Western BBQ at Sage Overlook

One of our favorite places to take in stunning Jackson Hole views while noshing on a delicious dinner is Sage Overlook right here at Spring Creek Ranch. Located 1,000 feet above the valley floor, you can enjoy a traditional chuckwagon-style BBQ, s’mores and music around a campfire and wagon rides with a jaw-dropping backdrop of the Tetons. This western style evening includes a wide spread of country eats, a few adult (and kid) beverage options, as well as a cowboy guitarist for entertainment. So kick up your cowboy boots and watch the sunset over the Teton Range.

A fun-filled Jackson Hole 4th of July

Come on down to Jackson for the nation’s favorite holiday and watch the Jackson Hole 4th of July Parade. Prior to the festivities, The Lion’s Club is selling a street breakfast down on Deloney Street, near Town Square that’s open to everyone. At 10:30 the parade kicks off to celebrate our nation’s independence, the incredible town of Jackson, and wild-west traditions. For a list of events on the Fourth of July, check out the Jackson Chamber of Commerce website.

If you’ll be in Jackson Hole for 4th of July, Spring Creek Ranch is offering accommodation specials for three nights (or more) that include a special BBQ celebration on the Vista (complete with picture-perfect views of the fireworks display), a massage, and meals.

Experience the People’s Market

Every Wednesday at the base of Snow King Mountain, The People’s Market celebrates delicious locally prepared food, goods from local artisans, live music, and tasty produce from our local farmers. This weekly market celebrates health, wellness, and local Jackson-area small businesses. Be sure to bring your own cup and bag for all of your wares, as this market boasts being waste-free.

Western Flair at the Teton County Fair

If there’s one thing Jackson Hole loves just as much as it’s weekly summer rodeo, it’s the Teton County Fair. From July 19th through the 28th stop by the Teton County Fairgrounds for good ‘ole western fun. From horse events to pig wrestling enjoy a large lineup of events throughout the day and evening. Local vendors sell western-inspired crafts, artwork, clothing, and jewelry. Lastly, no county fair is complete without carnival rides, games and plenty of food and drink.

Catch Some Tunes with the Jackson Hole Live Concert Series

This summer, enjoy a family-friendly concert series at the Snow King Ball Park in downtown Jackson. This year’s outdoor concert lineup consists of amazing local bands that will have your hands clapping and hips moving to the beat. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for kids under 17. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy a night of live music under the spanning Wyoming sky. Concerts run from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. four nights throughout the summer.
